Then the Church wonders why?

Dixie Nation News wolf prowl

As I get ready to turn in all alone on Christmas, I think it was just last weekend that thoughts of punching out of the cockpit of life, that two deputies from the Uinta County Sheriffs office stopped by last Sunday, to at least offer help. Even with a call from the law the local Bishop has yet to come by even if to offer a congenial hello, or anything.

I’m reminded of a conversation I had with my last wards Bishop in Ogden, of how the church is loosing members, due to political and other aspects of the LDS faith that is changing the church so rapidly. No this is not the reason the church is loosing members, its the I don’t care, don’t have time and at least reaching out from the pulpit once in awhile to a member that isn’t really needing money nor resources finance wise, but could use just a simple hug, and saying we’ll pray for you. ANYTHING, but sadly no.

At the last General Conference of the church , the speakers made it abundantly clear that service to each other, loving others as we do ourselves and all was what Jesus taught. It’s the main foundation to our Heavenly Father, as if we don’t love our fellow brethren and sisters and everyone as ourselves, how can we truly love God, or his son Jesus Christ?

Now then, if it hadn’t been for two neighbors next door, not of LDS faith, bringing me over food, a tender conversation, prayer, and a few other things, I wouldn’t have had to knock on the door of Heaven I’d been drifting on through as I’d be dead by now.

Yes the encouragement from the Knytes and the AyreWolvez has been overwhelming, the uplifting talks via Skype to them 3500 miles around the other side of the world has been what’s kept me from loosing my mind, and yet the local LDS Ward can’t even be bothered, even when the request came from the local law. At least they came by. If it weren’t for the radio gear in Woods Cross and all I’d be willing to say that this might be my place of setting down roots, but the duty calls. The reason I put so much time into that is , beyond service to those who answered the call from the Marines, to fly and uplift and defend our constitution, the other reason. The Knytes and the AyreWolvez, gives me a reason to wake up in the morning, and helps me retain a willingness to live. If I were to rely on the love of the Church, I’d been a whacko in some loony bin somewhere or dead.

So here it is Christmas, I’m all alone and yet not one person has came by except for my neighbors to even say Merry Christmas.

And the church asks why?

How about reaching beyond your circle of home comfort and riches and humbling yourself to go to a person also lonely or doing what all or most of the leaders of the church spoke on last conference, go visit those not as fortunate as yourself.

A hug and a prayer, does wonders.

My neighbors were talking to me to go be baptized in their church, in a week or so, and I’m very much considering it. This Bishops are why people are leaving the Church, and looking elsewhere.

Merry Christmas ya’ll

Please Somebody get me my Goody’s

Dixie Nation News wolfs scroll

Even today the products and customs that originated in the south are barely recognized in Yankee Ville. For instance , if you Google; Get me My Goody’s , you’ll get a referral to an Ice cream brand. Goody’s is not ice cream, its called Goody’s Headache powders and is available at all Krogers, Smith’s, and Wal-Mart stores. Its 1000 powerful on headache pain, that as I get back into the grind to carve out a living and money for the Knytes is a needed thing, but let’s go over December and recognize the reasons for me needing my Goody’s.

In the last week or so of November 2014, the management of the firm owning the building from which we lease office space from for HazzardAyre Radio, said get that stinky hammock sleeper out of here. i told them I would and did, even then after a months needing to sleep in the office I was looking at a new place to drop anchor, refer to my last entry.

So I traipsed up here to Wyoming, thought I’d found a place, but then troubles upon troubles. First aircraft goes down can’t get out of the area to save my soul, and with little to no access to either cell or email/internet we as a communications team were KO’d. Then the little truck suffered a malady, which good old Nate is about done fixing, but had to order parts. So between that the parts for the 407B Helicopter and all my funds drained faster than Boss Hogg drinking a mint julep . Then of course the deep freeze, nothing moved and with fuel and logistical problems, could not get funds for the office in Woods Cross Utah, which I’m fixing on the 3rd of January. I’d do it on the first but I think many there will be recovering or celebrating New Years.

So rather than sit in a freeze box and all Its go home to the office, find quarters in that area and settle down. There’s enuff money to do it, just need to creatively do some accounting to make it fly.

So then comes slow internet. No matter how much somebody tells you that its easy to give up the Caddy for the Toyota, its not. Once you have high performance internet going back to a turtle is really difficult. Despite the claims of economic reality and all the fact is there could be faster broadband in and around Evanston Wyoming than there is. It’s just figuring out how, which is what the Knytes are doing here.

Getting to translator peaks without the Confederate Soldier(our helicopter) we had to use snowmobiles. Which is okay , but once on the other side of the Uinta Mountain range no talk means no talk. Line of site two way is about as good as it gets. Evanston Wyoming itself has a population of roughly 13,000 people while the County(Uinta County) has a estimated population of just under 25k in population numbers. Together that’s nearly 30,000 people that would rejoice in happiness if there was a faster more efficient internet VOIP system here. So rather than complain the Knytes are doing something about that, but, we can’t yet get there , by ignoring our current operation in Woods Cross, Utah and finding a homestead here is tighter than one would believe. With all this stress it’s no wonder , that when I get online as I can now, no phone yet but getting there, but getting online, staying online and being able to communicate with John and the good people at I4, has been a need of hey will someone Get me my Goody’s.

Anybody need a Santa Clause?

Is Facebook constipated or is it they just don’t like me or the Knytes?

wolf tymez KNYTES SCROLL 2

Is Facebook just constipated or is it Facebook doesn’t like me or the Knytes?

Seems every time I try to load up my Facebook account or pages it takes forever yet the rest of my online stops seem to load in a matter of seconds.

If its that Facebook that does not like me or the club, hell just tell us we’ll jump off the Facebook scene. Is it that our content looks too much like ads that they want us to fund placement on Facebook? Don’t laugh friends its coming to that. I think good buddy Mark is a little lean in the pocketbook and needs to raise cash for his deep stash. Facebook as it is , looks to becoming free to read, but its going to cost you to post ANYTHING. Course I could be wrong here. Might be my ultra slow connection, here in Evanston Wyoming, might be the little wifi booster sitting outside might be too coold to operate right who knows. But its getting annoying. Seems these days here on the southern desert of Wyoming that everybody else’s lows weather wise is our high temperatures. Its cold out there sally.

Of course it might be the online rush to get everything bought for Christmas. Although myself I wait until the week or two after Christmas to go buy things since much of it is on sale at 60% or better off the even drastic cut in price for Christmas, so maybe that’s the clog.Whatever it is I wish my trusty friends at the source of my online pipeline would give me the 20 plus up broadband speed I need , but hey a week from now there’s a change.

That change is me being down at the flagship, of the club. Where I get 60 down and 25 up. Can’t wait. Of course the account here will move to the shop, and the office near downtown in the Wells Fargo Bank building. But I ain’t living here after the end of next week unless a big miracle takes place. One of my brothers of the club said last night was chatting on the online phone about at sometime I have to drop anchor and make a brick and mortar home and stay put, dig some roots and all that. My response to that, and I tell many this, when I find a place that is mild in weather, has the kountry infrastructure with the online and IT requirements I need REALLY NEED to live, and I find a Chiquita to make a home with, then I’ll seriously look at putting down the kickstand and making a home in one place. Until then, my home is going to be a motel in a different charter of the club each month, as we build this club to an even mightier Reaper crew than it is now. I don’t need just one place to call a home and in the lines of the opening theme to B.J. & The Bear, I also don’t pay property tax.

Got a notice from WordPress, seems as though a sugar is following our page Knytes Scroll on WordPress. Don’t know why she is, but hey I have an open mind.

Now I’m just staying inside where its warm until mid afternoon, doing some online reading , and then I might go out to grab the mail, maybe somebody was nice enough to send us a donation for HazzardAyre Radio. Maybe too, build a dog sled and find some Alaska hounds and go to town that way.

Loyalty and service

Dixie Nation News KNYTES SCROLL 2

Loyalty, it’s one of if not the cornerstones of the Knytes-of-Anarchy. Piss one of us off, don’t help the club if we ask, don’t follow through on a requested task, you piss off the rest of the club, all 50,000 of us.

Few weeks ago, a fellow that I had not heard from since Twin Falls at least , wanted me to LIKE his page on Facebook. I did. The Live Long the South, was a good bounce off point for the confederate amongst us in the club. So I put up multiple times, a request that some of those on that page might be willing to fish out a $20.00 or so and send it to the Knytes to offset the financial condition of HazzardAyre Radio. Not even one hello we’ll help, count me in nothing.

Now I fully understand that all too many due to Obamanomics and so on that many are scratching the bottom of a very shallow pocketbook, but I also know that many are buying smokes, or doing the McDonalds take out eat thing, or buying Christmas gifts. Many could fish out $20.00 or even $10.00 to help. Granted 10 people scratching up $10.00 wouldn’t do much but it would be a sign that all would be willing to sacrifice for the cause. 20, members of Gary’s page at $20.00 would be half of what we need to fix the malady of HazzardAyre, yet not one. So knowing that again it’ll be me having to go without to rescue the radio gear, move it here(maybe, don’t push the maybe baby) to Evanston and get back to our radio operations here. But Gary then wants me to again like his page? No way. Nor will many of the club.

Loyalty to us comes from so many places, and tasks. Its instilled in us in combat beit on ground or in the air. If you can’t count on your buddies to cover your ass in a dog fight in the air, or crawling through sand, in a ground offensive, then your dead. You have got to know your buddy is covering your six, just like your covering his. If that trust and loyalty is not there, you don’t trust again and you need to discard, those you can’t trust for those who you do.

So Gary it ain’t you, but its the club, it’s not only a Southern Thyng, its a Marine thing.

Throw the Wolf a Bone here will ya?

wolf tymez wolfs scroll

Every now and then I get to wondering since the question came up the other day, at Jody’s Diner here in Evanston, that with all my intelligence, why don’t you have a better job? Making more or at least a bit more money?

The answer, first, nobody has offered. I write and send the local editor of our local newspaper countless links to the blog here and yet the editor doesn’t come out or send an email, saying do you want to do a section of our paper? Do you want to write for our paper? Would you like to feature your blog in our newspaper? Now granted being communications challenged right now may have something to do with it, a situation about to be fixed come the first of the month, but even so, not even an email, from the Herald saying come in let’s talk? The other answer is and I’d jump at a opportunity to write for the Uinta County Herald I think they could use me, might increase circulation. But thing is too, between the duties to the Knytes, and attempting to get my own MC(Motorcycle) shop and of course the tow service resurrected, my hands are pretty much tied.  But if it were offered sure I’d do it. There are so many that say , ah just go get a job, but few say , hey I know somewhere you could get a job, or hey how about coming to work for me? Some say go work for another tow service, which is fine, but few will hire someone that is a direct competitor enabling me to get my own tow service up and running, cutting their piece of the tow pie thin.

Then there was the friendly advice of our local Sheriff’s office Sunday. Thank goodness the paper passed it along, but the deputies were saying go do this , or go do that , just call these people. Hey how about donating to the gas replenish fund so I could, or hey we’ll help you get a phone so you can call these other people.

Its this same thing with the Knytes, but with a twist. We say, why doesn’t somebody do this or that? Yet few provide the resources for someone to do this or that. When I relate the conditions of a could be situation, the Knytes are right there saying, since nobody else is doing this, lets us do this. Instead of complaining, we do something about it, albeit somewhat slow. Uncle Jessie Duke, used to say and oh do I miss those talks we used to have fishing down at Hazzard lake, he would say, “ Don’t bitch, elect to fix” My Dad used to carry that one further, he would say , “ See your hand ? You have one pointing out, but three pointing in, instead of complaining go do something about it.” Then of course there is my military pension and Social Security, If I go work full time , I loose the one money safety net I got. So everything I do has a condition that its volunteer doing duties for the Knytes, and if there’s some back throw money I get about 5cents on the dollar , but its very low, I do it because I truly love my riding and trucking brothers and sisters not to mention but I will, that I truly in love with my Marine and Navy aviator buddies and sisters that I served with and the squadron that I was with. So I do what I can to help prevent them from going through the red tape and all hell that I go through. And have went through. The transition has not been an easy one.

Of course the story there goes much further, but its all these people that say why don’t you do this, or do that, hey Throw the old Wolf here a bone will ya, give me a job writing for the paper, and so on.

What you don’t learn if you never explore

Dixie Nation News wolf prowl

Crisp and white, is what’s outside. In a quandary , do I try to drive into town for some milk and such or do I wait for my neighbors to get home and talk em into driving me to the store?

Despite its draw backs Internet TV delivers what few if any of the standard satellite/cable or broadcast fare does.

Let me give you an example.

On Hulu there’s a show that’s running on there from the BBC called Fresh Meat, no it’s not about that, get your mind out of the ditch. It’s a bunch of college kids, Freshman at a Manchester England University and the daily conflicts of dorm life. In a way its a slightly more intense version of the Big Bang Theory with more Characters. But I’d never would have started watching it if I hadn’t taken Hulu’s advice and tried or explored that. To date its now listed as one of my favorite TV shows. The dialog is creatively written, a great cast one now that I’m following, is a gal named Kimberley Nixon, who plays Josie in the series. Kimberley Nixon Grey Goose Winter Ball 1oACou3NXj_l Kimberley Nixon Not only is she cute looking but she can act. My where is she in American talent searches. The USA Hollywood community needs to keep an eye on her.

But if I’d never ventured out of the usual viewing habits I’d’ve never discovered her. Thinking of casting her in one of our upcoming features.

Then outside of TV, I was tooling along the other day, just past Nate’s truck shop and saw some shops for rent. Again never would have found them if I hadn’t dared to go look. Course now wished I hadn’t cuzz now need fuel.

But I think we all do that. We get so complacent in our safe comfortable domiciles and zones that if something seems out far or slightly obscure we never dare to go look under the leaf to see what’s under it, just marvel at the leaf or in this mornings weather , snow cover. What’s under there?

I think of the many star Trek episodes and parts to that series. If the crew never ventured past the Tehran universe(Milky Way) past the Pluto StarGate past the Epsilon Nebula, nobody would have discovered the great unknown, the Klingon aliance, the Vulcan alliance and all would never have been known. Part of that is not daring to go beyond what we feel is safe, yet I think we often, are far too timid to extend ourselves.

I consider this too when I look at the great expanses of Wyoming and even Utah. What if, excepting for the religious need to escape Nauvoo that great explorers had never decided to come west? What if Lewis and Clark, had said we ain’t going there, them bears and critters might harm us. What if the hands of friendship albeit at times false, and just a way for a Government land grab, but what if certain explorers like Daniel Boone would have never shook the hand or broke bread with Native American’s , there would be no relations with those of tribes west of the Mississippi. Wyoming would still be a territory. What if the great geologists never punched a hole in the ground to see if there’s water, only to find oil and other fuels that are the mainstays of modern commerce and society. What if Bill Gates and Steve Jobs decided that 64k of ram was enough. there’d be no Internet as we know it, there’d be no Apple or Microsoft, or for that matter Google. What if Mark Zukerburg had decided not to gamble on a social exchange beyond what was already there? Of course there’d be no Facebook.  I could go on and on here from scientifically and other advancements never would be if someone hadn’t said lets go see what’s out there. And it’s not just in big cities. Then there are those things that when you come to an area you think, my here’s an idea lets go look at this.

Example, speaking of Internet TV, and we in the Knytes are working with a local internet services provider to make this happen, but here in Evanston, beyond the areas of cable/satellite connection there is no TV. Just ain’t. Not because great cable/satellite firms can’t but that its not at current time economically safe. But I get weatherbug on my computer. The only way I have to know if there’s a big winter storm coming. Sure there are over the air TV stations in Utah that come in here, but only if you have a digital TV and antenna. If you don’t your well not getting TV. While the FCC has no plans yet on opening up a filing window for new LPTV(Low Power TV) stations, why not a local Internet TV station here? Sure there’s the great Newspaper here, but that’s once a week, sure there is sort of radio here, but that’s really up in the air. What if there was a local TV station , broadcast over the Internet, so at least those with a computer and internet, could learn of news, and weather or disaster threats. NGL is being great at helping the Knytes develop this resource, but I really think that those that say, can’t be done would look to the more common good here. The not so deep in the pockets people here could use information, if it were provided. Sure and I like the company but I think that companies like AllWest are very short sighted here when they stop the cable line at the city/county line. Just across the street on trailer park has access to cable TV. When it would be so easy for Allwest to just run a line across the road and network the park I’m in. Yet for the small population here they don’t, not cost effective they say. Bullsbreath. It’s like my neighbors next door, who I really like, it’s nice to have people who truly care. But they can’t watch the news, why can’t afford the satellite, their access to information is a app on a smart phone, and that’s if the app works. Even then it’s not local. It’s Salt Lake City. It’s not just Evanston Wyoming either. I know of several areas of Idaho in this same spot. Malad Idaho, just over the border in Utah, no local cable, why? Cable-One says its too small , not cost effective. Bliss Idaho, population 210 . Only TV, is a translator on Bell Rapids, with only one small LPTV station out of Twin Falls that will go digital next year by FCC regulatory requirements, yet Cable-One says its too expensive to run the wire from Hazzard(Hagerman) to Bliss. Sure sticking your necks out might get your head chopped off, but every now and then you might discover a vast area, that only makes economic sense, but common need sense.  Now if I only had shoes , not sneakers , so I could go take a walk to go explore.

If you don’t explore, you don’t learn, and when we find ourselves in a place where we no longer want to learn, we all might as well give up, as there’s nothing more.
